Game week is almost here, and we couldn't be more fired up. Our Atlas Ballers U16 boys are gearing up for the 2026 Selangor Basketball Association (SBA) Youth Championship, and this year's squad has a different energy about it — younger, hungrier, and ready to make some noise.
First up: we face Chyaba Jr. on Saturday 27 June at 11:00 AM, followed by a home fixture against Hulu Langat BA on Sunday 28 June at 12:30 PM. Both clashes go down at Batu 11 Basketball Court — Class B, Group Stage, and we mean business.
Here's the twist this season: we've thrown some of our brightest young academy talent straight into the deep end, fast-tracking their experience against real tournament competition.
"We are fielding some younger players in this tournament," said Head Coach Ben Olajide. "Hopefully this gives them the experience required to go further in their careers within the Atlas Ballers. We want them to gain competition experience to prepare them for future tournaments within and outside of Malaysia."
In other words — this isn't just about Saturday and Sunday for us. It's the next generation of Atlas Ballers earning their stripes, building the kind of game IQ and composure under pressure that turns our promising academy kids into future stars, both on home courts and beyond Malaysia's borders.
And with SBA's quarter-split format — six players in Q1, a fresh six in Q2 — there's no hiding on the bench. Every player we've named in our 12-man squad is getting real minutes, real pressure, real reps. Exactly the kind of grind that builds champions.
Mark your calendars, rally the squad, and come down to Batu 11 to back our boys. 🏀
