From the
Coaching Staff
What a season. It started with Benny Ong suggesting 8am Saturday morning sessions for the Elites — and every single one of them showed up. It continued through weeknight after weeknight of after-school training from 6 to 8pm, with parents navigating traffic, picking kids up from school, and getting them to the court in time — then turning around and doing it all again. U12 sessions were split across two venues simultaneously because demand in Mont Kiara was simply that high — and parents made that sacrifice without a second thought.
The sacrifices made on both sides of that journey were real, and they were noticed.
On league matchdays, there were moments where three Atlas games were running at the same time — across different venues and different courts — and parents were sprinting between them to catch every minute they could. That kind of support means more than any scoreboard. Through all of it, every player showed up, worked hard, and gave everything they had. That is the only result that truly matters to us.
Trophies are wonderful, and we are proud of the ones on the shelf. But the moments we will carry longest are the quieter ones; the breakthrough that happened in a Wednesday drill, the kid who finally called for the ball, our gentle giants who developed their own personalities over the season, the U16 Girls who lost half their squad and two key players to injury and club changes and still found a way to make it to the finals, the team that lost by 30 and came back the following month with their heads held high.
To the parents — none of this happens without you. And a very special mention to the U14 Team 2 mothers who rolled up their sleeves during the Asia Pacific Cup, helped carry equipment into ISKL, and made sure the coaching team was fed. That kind of heart does not go unnoticed. It is exactly the spirit we try to build in your children every week.
Thank you for trusting us with them. We are just getting started.

Season 3
We made the call this season to field 10 teams across most age groups — a bold step that came after plenty of honest conversation between the coaching staff and club management. The question was never whether our players deserved the stage; it was whether they were ready for it. Turns out, they were.
Three U14 teams is no small feat. Team 2 — our KLASS boys — were the standout, fighting all the way to the Bronze medal match. We seconded Ryan Wan, Jordan Lee and Cheng Yilin from the HPDT programme to give them early competition experience alongside their peers; they stepped up and led in their own quiet way. They'll be returning to HPDT next season, much better for it. Louie Ali, Matthew Shane Chew and Leo Fong drove the offense on Team 2, while Minjun and Leying held things together for Team 1.
Division 1 is no place for the faint-hearted. They were up against 2009 boys from Sonic, Skyhawks and several clubs stacked with state-level players. Fifth place, edging out Kemuning Basketball Club along the way. Gritty, earned, and a real foundation to build on.
Unbeaten from Week 1 all the way to the Division 2 Championship. That's the full story. Division 1 might be calling next season — just saying.
A tough draw all season — some of the stronger clubs in KL on their schedule. Eighth place doesn't tell the whole story. There are players in this group who have grown quietly and consistently, and that growth is real.
Losing Claire to SJBC and Makayla to injury would have derailed most teams. Not these girls. They showed up every week, competed hard, and made it all the way to the U16 finals — with a largely U14 squad. That is unprecedented in the entirety of Atlas Ballers history. A huge well done to every one of them. We cannot wait to see what they do next season.
One loss all season — to Fastbreak, early on — and they never looked back. Even during stretches when Benny was away on National Team duty, the squad held the standard. Hatem and Castle were brilliant additions at the start of the year; Ethan Chiew and Ken Lee have made enormous strides since joining a couple of seasons back. The final was bittersweet without Ken and Milo, but the group did it for them. To Saad and Louis — thank you. Your final season in U18 was one to remember. Go well in U20s. 🏀

U17 Championship
Played up against the U17s. Lost all matches, but showed tremendous courage and gained invaluable experience competing above their age group. The kind of season that pays dividends later.
Fought all the way to the quarterfinals before being knocked out. A great run and a proud moment for the team — every player contributed to the push.
Asia
Pacific
Cup
Atlas Ballers sent three teams — U14, U16 and U18 — to compete against international sides, including junior national teams from the Philippines.
A landmark experience for the club. Our players held their own against some of the best young talent in the region, and came home with a different ceiling for what they can chase next season.
